These are too funny!

One of my wonderful Aunts said to me at Christmas that I looked as though someone had come in my room during the night and sucked all the fat right off of me. I got so tickled with her because she was really serious.

I have had so many people ask how I lost "all" that weight. They usually stumble around because they don't want to say that I was fat, but they also want to give me a compliment. I must say, I have never been "huge" in my eyes, but with my frame, 160lbs doesn't look very pleasing to the eyes.

My ever tactless Grandma said to me at Christmas, "Well, at least you're not so fat anymore!"

And when I told her I was pregnant, said "well, I hope you don't get all FAT again!"

She is sooo sweet!

Worst: "You are really hurting your kidneys" OR "You should find a program you can stick with for life" I just wanna shoot these people.

Best: From lots of people who are really genuinely happy for me and who I have inspired to try Atkins.

Default sisters!

My sister moved in with me just before I started the Atkins plan - and when I told her - she said good - you won't be needing the bigger bedroom if you are smaller!

Plus she thought it would be good if i got to her size and lose no more so she could borrow my clothes!

My favorite was not even verbal: I said hi to a former co-worker that I hadn't seen in months...and she didn't recognize me for a good few seconds.

DH was giving me a back massage, and grabbed a handful of skin. He was impressed, let me tell you.
"You're like the dog!!!" (We have a German Shepard)
At least he followed with,"There's no more fat to grab here!"

I don't want the fat back, but I don't want to be BAGGY!!

The best: (from my size-4 sister) "Hil, you look like a friggin' skeleton!"

The worst: The "uh-oh, she must have an eating disorder" look on my mother-in-law's face when I tell her I still want to lose 35 more pounds. What is it with people thinking I'm "too thin" at size 12, 175 pounds?

Used to be called "moonface" by my xSO. Haven't heard that one for ages now... Now he happily finds excuses to hug me while delightfully exclaiming that I'm "bony!!"

Heard this from my mother who commented to one of her friends about how well I have been doing on Atkins.
Her friend - a nurse BTW - said, "Oh Atkins, thats bad for your respiration."

My mom said what do you mean by that? Her reply was of course, Oh I dont know, I've just always heard that."

It felt really good to tell my mom that her friend was "Full of Crap!!!"

Did you keep all of your old clothes? You're going to need them. I heard Atkins only lasts about 6 months.
