I didn't quite make it today either. DH had a doctor appointment (we work together, so I went with him after work). We didn't get home until 6:30--stopped and bought a rotisserie chicken and fixed a fast salad when we got home, so I was finished by 7.

I stayed the same this morning, but I am not complaining about a total of 5 pounds in 4 days. Tommorrow I have a class from 4 to 7 plus a half hour of travel time. I have a staff meeting from 2:30 to 3:30. I'm going to take an extra salad and try to eat it at break (if we have one).

Would like to jump on this bandwagon. I have a hard time staying awake to watch tv after the kids go to bed and chewing seems to be what I do to stay up with hubby. Got to give it up.
Have taken the liberty to compile the stats from the 19th that were started. Ya'll want to do this monday's? I carb load on weekends so it's usually my fattest day - but I'll fess to it.

Mondays are fine with me, thats when I do my usual weigh in anyway.

By reading others post, it is not always possible to get it in by 6:00 unless you stay home every day of the week.

I think as long as generally we try not to eat beyond our set time everyday that's all we can do. Sometimes things come up beyond our control.

As of yesterday I was down to 207..and its the same today.

I assume as of a week we will post our official changes?

Maybe we should pick a day where we report. I was initially down 2 pounds but I was up one this morning.

I think I really over ate yesterday bc even though I stopped eating at 6pm (or close) I was still full when I went to bed at 10 and drank way too much water. I could feel that my body was holding on to some of the water, can't explain it, just felt it.

I don't mind posting often but I don't want to drive anyone crazy by posting everyday. Let me know if you guys prefer daily or weekly.

Thanks
Tasha aka Determine

I don't mind posting everyday, but Monday will be fine by me. I have never "done" a challenge before, Let me know how we do this. I lost 5 pounds the first 3 days, but was up 2 this morning. Too much salty beef jerkey. (I hope that is all it is!)

Start weight for this challenge, 260......

Good luck and congratulations to those that have lost already.

Have we picked Monday to do stats?
Otherwise we can post anytime we need to like Burm - hey buddy- that 10pm thing is bad for me too. Was watching west wing last nite and before I knew it I got up and cut some cheese to chew on to stay awake... not really hungry, just habit. Well, I got that 1st piece in my mouth and remembered you guys...gave the rest to my hubby who fell off the wagon about a month ago after losing 20# - and he got up and finished the rest of the 8oz chunk. Then I remembered why I'm doing this. To break the habit of eating at night. It's a habit. We just think we're hungry, because we always did it.
Burm, put a couple of oz of cranberry juice in your water - about 1 to 8 ratio - and make that your evening snack. It gives the water a little flavor and works to help flush your kidneys. Watering it down like that won't put you over on your carb intake. Or make some herbal tea - a cup of beef broth - just to take the edge off.

ricky47 - I will have to try the cranberry w/water because I got that "I want something" around 10 pm too...and I'm usually sleeping by then!

I did take a handful of the new orville redenbacher's tender white popcorn at 7...it has 14 carbs minus 2 for fiber per serving ...but I only had a handful (and it is good...it says its made with Real Butter ?????

Anyway, thanks..My scale hasn't moved...but no move is better than an up move

I give up on this challenge until after tomorrow to where I know I will be home to eat supper. I had church last night and came home starving, at least I thought I was and guess what time it was, yep, 10pm. So I ate. Of course I was up a few lbs. this morning, but weigh ins are Mondays so Im gonna be patient. I wont be home again this evening for supper so Ill get back with you all on friday.

My aunt gave me a good recipe for a salad. It is called 7 layer salad. You layer the following and let it set over night then stir it up and eat. The only thing Im not sure of is the peas and onion so I am leaving them out and replacing with broccoli.
1. lettuce
2. cauliflower
3. peas
4. onion
5. mayonaiise
6. bacon
7. chedder cheese

chop up your veggies before you put them on except the lettuce. this is real good.

Hey all...

Today it looks like I am down another pound. Puts me at 259.

Start weight for chalange was 262 (for the record).

I get hungry.. I just ignore it. I did however get on a Green Tea Kick recently.. I got away from coffe and on to green tea. And I love it! Plus it has some other benefits, at least thats what they say.
