Why discouraged? Looks like you have lost 5lbs. That's a fantastic start!

Well the sticks don't tell the whole story. You can still lose weight even if the sticks don't read anything. It sure looks like the scale has moved for you and I bet if you take your measurements, you'll see a change there as well.

As far as sticking to it, well, you don't mention why. All I can tell you is that you have to want to lose the weight. If you aren't committed to making yourself healthy, then you can't commit to this way of life. And that really is what this is all about, making ourselves healthy. Losing the weight is just a great side effect.

I can tell you that I never expected his diet to work for me. I was a carb addict that ate way to many fast food and junk food meals. I had gotten myself up over 350!! This way of eating/way of live, has made me healthy again. I do not possess any magical willpower that you don't also have. I finally just committed myself wholly to this plan and the results continue for me today.

You have to do this for you!

Thanks so much for your replaies and i knw your right about the will power. thats where i fall short i think, maybe by coming here or finding a partner will help with that and strengthen and help me with my own will power. I know i need to get thru this with my LDL is 311 and triglycerides are off the chart at 1500 according to my doctor i cam much concerned since my mother and fater died of heartattack and strokes. This is the main reasons i wnat to lose the wieght.

Well it sounds like you certainly have the motivation to succeed. You might check out the Countdowns Buddies and Challenges section here on the forum. Here is a link:

Good Luck!!
