Default Heartburn and sugar free anti-acids

Hi I have heartburn and need to take an anti-acid. the 2 things that always worked for me before I started low carbing was to drink milk and/or take Tums. I looked at the ingredients in Tums and they contain sugar. Does anyone know of another brand of anti-acid that does not contain sugar?

I don't know where you are. It helps eveeryone if you fill inthe location on your profile.

In the UK we have a sugar free version of 'Rennies' but I don't know about the US or anywhere else.

Milk used to help me too but my heartburn went away when I started LCing. It only comes back now if I go too long without food.

I am in the USA and yes I think that is why I got heartburn--not eating enough. I am not used to a lot of snacking.

Rolaids or Tums makes a sugar-free antacid. It's at my Walmart and RiteAde stores.

Oh ya.. the other thing that I would try is peppermint tea. It has a very soothing effect on upset stomachs.

thanks--I will look for the sugar free tums. They don't carry them at my local grocery, but I will see if they have them at my Wal-Mart.
