Question Trying Again.

I am very familiar with the LC Atkins style. I did it for a month once and lost 20lbs. That was 5 yrs ago and just like the doc promised it came back because I didn't make it a way of life... MY BAD. I've decided that I want to try again. Anyway now they have all these cool products on the market and I'm confused. If I find a candy bar that says 'only .7g net effective carbs!" can I eat it during induction? Help me...

The simple answer is no, you really can only eat only the foods listed for induction. If you do not have a newer book, you can get an upto date induction food list at Atkins.com. But dont worry, its only for two weeks after all.

I have the new book and it says to stay away from diet foods unless they specifically state no carbs. Page 129 of the new diet revolution has a part about convenience foods but it does not specify.

That is the catch 22 of the situation, they tell you to only eat listed foods, and then Atkins company itself try to sell your there bars and shakes. The reason why it is good to stick to only the listed foods is because it will help to clean out your system and get rid of your food cravings.

I will also to send up a bit of a warning, some of those candy bars are made with sugar alcohol. They taste great, but may have you running to the restroom a few hours later. Best to be a home for the day when you first test them out. And they can tend to stall some people, but that to is an individual thing.
