why dont you post what you are eating so people can take a look and give you some advice.

you should also try to use fitday.com to track your food totals.

5lbs. is still 5 lbs - dont give up now. but to try to lose 100 lbs. in 3-4 months is not realistic. but you could lose a significant amount in that time. i lost 40 -50 lbs in the first 4 months of lcing.

so tell us what you are actually eating in a day so we can help you out.

Hey, I saw your other post.

Why do you say you have to lose 100 pounds by March. What's so special about March anyway? Do you have a special event coming up?

Try to remember hon, that the weight didn't get there over night and surely not in 3 months. These things take time. You are aiming for a healthier life, the being thin part is just a bonus. If you give up now, how will you ever know if you would have succeeded? In 3 months you may lose just 30 pounds, or you may have lost 60 or 80, but the important thing is that it's coming off.

I wanted the weight to come off in a hurry too. But one day I told myself, hey you put the food in your mouth and got yourself in this situation in the first place right, then just back off and be patient. So, now I'm just following the Inductions rules to the letter and letting nature take it's course.

Drink loads of water and get some exercise. What exercise you say. Yeah exercise you read right. Get your butt moving and help your body along a little. Get your metabolism going a little faster by taking a walk around the block a few times or put some music on and do some dancing in your living room or bedroom. I know I went into this thinking, but so many have been so successful without exercising, yeah well they could have probably reached goal faster if they did too. Don't you think.

I tend to be harsh, but realistic. Do this for you and do it right. When you've reached goal, you been glad you did stick to it. You'll see!

Lily

Thumbs up

OH a wedding how beautiful. Look, I'm sure your best friend loves you for who you are, or surely this person would not be your BF. So don't worry about it.

I wanted to be thin for my wedding 4 years ago. You know what, I wasn't, I was weighing about 250 then, but I got married. I wasn't going to let my weight ruin my special day. And you know something else, I think I looked great. Everyone was oh..ing and ah..ing. I felt so special. I'm sure you will lose a good amount of weight by then. And if you haven't lost it all, so what, your on your way their.

Start your journal, post your menu's in it, and you will see how soon, well see your Stats getting lower and lower, and everyone will be posting in your journal cheering you on and saying congratulations. Your gonna feel so good, and your gonna keep on with this new way of eating and your gonna hit goal.

I'm cheering for you already....see---->
Hang in there, you can do this and we are here for you.

Lily.....can't wait to see you succeed

Default The bed news and the good:-)

The bed news, according Atkins you can expect to loose around 10% of your excess weight during the induction, then 5% of it in every month. (Average - individuals can have very different experiences.) Yes, I know many other advertised "diet" promises much more, but always fail to deliver the "miracle"

Fortunately there are good news: you can look GREAT even without loosing the "mandatory" 100 lbs in 4 months. Many people would LOOK like 10-20 lbs less simply from an improved posture:-) Or from toned arms, etc.

My recommendation, PATIENCE and exercise... Any kind of exercise that you enjoy:-) The key is consistency. It can not only boost your metabolism, but improve your posture, your sleeping, your heart, etc. The most important: definetely can change your MOOD, self-esteem.

Check the exercise and countdown threads. You can find many excellent advices - how to start, support groups - keeping up your spirit.

Hey, glad to hear that you have a big event to look forward to, and that should be your attitude too!
Trust us, if you stick with it and give it your best shot, you will look GREAT in March.
If you give up...well, you probably have already pictured that situation, right?
This plan works, if you work the plan. Don't give up!

even if you only lost 20lbs by the wedding, you are still going to look and feel SO much better. that alone is worth trying for!
