Talking I found a choclate candy!!!!!

I know I have way to many posts today but just one more!! I bought some of the russel stover low carb french mint candies a couple of days ago for my first day on OWL, well I ate some(2) early and was worried about going out of ketosis, I just checked and am still showing deep purple!!! Just wanted to let ya know, in case you get a really bad craving!!! They did give me a stomach ache the next day, but not to bad and kept me from eating the real thing!! They were delicious!!! .2 carbs per candy.
Good luck!!!

Be careful not to overeat or go beyond the 'recommended serving size' as sugar alcohols are powerful laxatives. Sometimes, it's not what you ate yesterday, it's what you ate 2-3 days ago that either puts you out of ketosis or stops the losing or makes you gain weight.

Deep purple, might mean that you are dehydrated. You drink a lot you pee a lot .So remember to keep on drinking your water .It gets out as fast as it goes in.

What does it mean if the sugar alcohol has no laxative reaction? I wonder why I don't see a change. Any ideas?

I think it might mean that you are one of the very lucky ones that the sugar alcohol doesn't affect.
Most have a problem (i.e. stall or poops).

The laxative effect isnt so bad when youve been constipated.

Hmmm...not too sure about that one. Some of those low carb candies might better be advertised with a more realistic name like...oh....I dunno..."colon blow"? (sorry if that's too graphic)

You know...there are less harsh ways of relieving constipation like drinking plenty of fluids and making sure that you get plenty of fiber as well as fats to keep things moving along smoothly.

That ain't doing a thing for me- even after 4 Psyllium husk caps, 2 correctol, 3l of water and fresh spinach salad for dinner and celery for lunch I'm "going" no where.

I NEED SOME OF THAT COLON BLOW please!!

What is this magical ingredient in candy. Nothing does it better for me that taking the kids to the mall to play but making a stop at the chocolate factory beforehand. I get the kids regular candy and I buy the sugarfree. Never fails, laxative effect. If Ive been really needing to go , the chocolate factory always does it for me.

I was really wanting the toffee squares, but alas, none to be found around here!! I stopped the french mint ones easily, if I had gotten those before this WOE i would have finished the whole box in one day. Now, I tasted them, loved them, but don't really want them. WOW!!!

I noticed K-Mart had a real nice selection of SF Candies in nice big bags. I bought a bag of the Reeses for $6.99. It will last me a while. Knowing the after-affects, I am always careful not to over endulge on them...
