Default Tip for Coffee/Tea Drinkers

I am drinking only decaff coffee now, but to add some extra flavor and make it super soothing I am experimenting with this: Try adding 1-2 packets of Celestial Seasonings Tea to the coffee when making it in a coffee maker! Many of the flavored teas really are not made with "tea" at all. For instance I have used the Black Cherry Herb Tea which is made with Hibiscus, rosehips, chicory root, blackberry leaves, hawthorn berries ,chamomile etc. The Vanilla Hazelnut works well too. Add some Splenda and some cream and Voila' a really soothing treat!

What a great idea. I have to make "regular" decaf coffee in the mornings for DH. However, I love a cup in the middle of the afternoon as a pick-me-up and treat.
I'm going to try the trick with tea.
The Hibiscus really sounds delicious. What kind of ratio would you use if you were making 4 cups of decaf?
Thanks,
Lois

You can experiment with different flavors and ratios. I use enough coffee to give it body and just cut open a tea bag and pour around the edges of the coffee in the basket so the flavor is not "lost" in the coffee.

Great Idea, I'll give it a try!

I usually choose decaf coffee (some times reg) or tea. Usually Chai tea for all its spices. Maybe I'll try the coffee tea marriage with the Chai.
