lol tamborine, I had a dream while in my second week of induction of gobbling a box of smarties! I caught myself about half way thru the box, and believe i spit the remainder out! In my DREAM no less, haha.

I had a steady headache for about 3 days, from day 2-5 i suppose. But i knew it would be rough, i was drinking about 3 non diet pepsi a day, and TONS of bread. so for a few days before i officially started, I began weaning off those things.

the induction flu was horrid however, good incentive to stick to it and not flub up, i never wanna have to do that again!

I am on day 10 of induction and I was a total pain to be around until about day 7. My husband was about to kill me, I was so gripey. The worst part was the emotional cravings....getting mad at people because they could eat sweets and I couldn't! Its a little funny now, but it felt really horrible at the time. It was like PMS times 3 for me. Thank goodness that is over!

I restarted Atkins the first day of the school year. I was too busy to notice any symptions, except hunger. I was tired, but that may have just been the result of working with 20 brand new first graders. By day 3, I had my energy back and was nolonger hungry.

I was so messed up because of the sugar. The whole first week of induction was terrible for me. I didn't experience cravings (that badly), but physically I felt horrible. Cravings were the least of my problems. I felt really weak, I felt like vomiting all the time (this last for my entire induction btw), and I had the attention span of a gnat. My mind was in a total fog all first week. Though the fogginess went away sooner, the queasiness stayed longer.
My queasiness was so bad that I gave into the cravings just so I could make it stop. I litterally felt like crying, it was such an awful feeling. Nowhere in did it say withdrawls could last this long, nor did it say queasiness would likely be experienced. I was expecting at worst some bad cravings, I was totally not ready for the utter pile of crap which my body turned into. I still remember my cheat meal: 1 bryers yogurt cup (40 carbs), 1 ounce walnuts mixed in, and a handful of green grapes.

Carb detox was one of the worst experience sof my life. Though I've never had a controlled substance problem, I can't imagine it could be much worse than Atkins induction lol...

Day 3 for me was AWFUL, I felt physically sick. I would say the carb cravings left me that day, but so did the interest in other food too LOL! By day 4 I felt like new!

Surprisingly my carb-withdrawal symptoms must have been asleep cause I really did not have what many experience...headache, flu-like symptoms. I guess because I wasn't a sugar-addict...my carbs were pasta, rice basically. I was in ketosis within 36 hrs of starting both times.
