I had my gallbladder removed one and a half year ago. Before surgery I could not eat fat. After I can eat what I want, - or at least that's what the specialist told me. I've had no problems whatsoever on Atkins. My fat intake is 65-70 % a day. As we're all different it might be a good idea to check out the Gallbladder thread. Lot's of good advice.

Before qitting and do Slim Fast (*yuck*) try what Rosebud said, check out the other poss low carb diets.....or simply modify your fat intake on Atkins....
