Default Stayed up late, woke up feeling fine

In the past if I stayed up unusually late (after 1 a.m.) I would wake up in the morning feeling hungover even if I hadn't been drinking. Last night I was up till 1:30 and realized that this morning I feel just fine, as if I'd slept my normal pattern (I did sleep a decent amount of time, about 6 1/2 hours). Should we give credit to the Atkins WOE for this? I had a very light dinner yesterday and no food during the evening (I was at a long theater production).

WOW that would be great if this WOE does that for you. Usually when I'm up late like that I feel hung over the next day too. I haven't stayed up late though since I started this WOE>

I find that is true for me too. I wake up after 5 to 6 hours sleep and expect to be tired later. It surprises me that I am not. I was thinking it had to do with being in my 50's now.?????

I have noticed the same thing since I've been LCing. Even when I don't get much sleep I still wake up refreshed with all this energy. I don't require near as much sleep as I use to either.

I've been wondering about that too. I've always needed 7-8 hours. I frequently did not used to get that and would feel tired the next day. I'd take weekend naps to make up for my lack of sleep during the week. Now I'm getting about 5-6 hours per night but I have not had a weekend nap in ages. I occasionally push it and get only 4 hours or so. In the past I would surely feel like the living dead the next day, have to drink a lot of coffee and go to sleep early the following night to make up for it. Not anymore (as long as I don't do it too often). I've had a few 4 hour nights and felt fine the next day. It's got to be this WOE, the supplements or a combination of both.

I'm the same way, and I think it has to do with this WOE, not age, as I am only 24. I used to need about 9-10 hrs a night if I didn't want to be sleepy all the next day. Now I sleep about 7 hrs and can wake up naturally after that amount of sleep without forcing myself to get up.
