Default what is the new Atkins book?

I don't want to sound dumb, but what is the new Atkins book many messages mention. I have his original book and The New Diet Revolution (I have had it for about 2 years). Is there a new book? Have things changed. I loved his first book as it seemed carefree. He seemed to have gome for the money in his second by emphasising supplements etc. Still I enjoyed it.

Dr Atkin's came out with an updated version to his old book in December of 2001.

There were many changes, mostly a bit less restrictive than he started out as. (I think he read Protein Power)

He now allows the subtraction of fiber, he limits you to 3 sweeteners a day, no aspartame at all, and a lot of other changes. It is still mostly stay at 20 carbs a day for induction.

I've noticed that there is a "atkins for Life" book and some sort of boxed set available in Canada.... has anyone picked up that?

I have Atkins for Life...It is a very good book. It goes much further into the Carb Ladder than DANDR did. The biggest problem with DANDR was it didn't fully explain the Carb Ladder. Atkins for Life does.

DANDR leaves some with the impression that they can't have ANY refined carbs for the rest of their lives...to the point that some folks are growing their own foods, spending hundreds of extra dollars, shunning foods entirely, or even throwing food away if it god forbid touched a crouton...to avoid a few milligrams of refined carbs.

Atkins for Life comes off slightly more permissive Carb-wise than DANDR. About the only foods AFL does not seem to allow in any amount once in Maintnance are Trans-Fats, Candy, and Sugary Soda. Even White Bread and Ice Cream w. Sugar are specifically allowed in small amounts as an Occassional treat once in Maintnance.
