Default what a fabulous crew

I just reread the posting to see where ya'll were from, and wow...what an international flair this group has. I've never used the computer to talk like this before, and I am so impressed. My computer makes me money - as I am a large format advertising specialist (signmaker) so I never do anything else with it, because I spend so much time on it doing graphics...
Anyway, the inspiration I get from you gals is just what I needed to stay with it. I'm on day 5 of induction, got past the 3rd day hurdle and will use ketone strips to see how deep in ketosis i can get. I didn't use them in the beginning ( May) when I had finally bottomed out at 203 and couldn't put on a pair of queen size panty hose...drove to walmart that night and bought THE BOOK. Lost over 8# the 1st 2 weeks and kept it up for awhile. These last 2 months have been creeping into owl--(ongoing weight loss) at 2 or 3 #'s per month and it just isn't enough. So that is why I am here. To get inspired and remotivated to keep with the program and keep the exercize up.
L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that maintains the serotonin level/balance in your brain, Happy juice as I refer to it. Helps with depression, anxiety, cravings supposedly. Lke turkey meat with tryptophan - an amino acid too- they use to sell trytophan over the counter, but pulled it off because of the stupido's who overused it and became lethargic (prozac came into the market...hint, hint) Anyway, B50's are vitamin b complex ~50 mg. each pill. I am lucky to have a certified nutritionalist working at the health food store in this little town, who is my lo carb guru, really nice guy willing to chat with me about anything. Now we are working on my commitment to stop smoking. Nothing herbally will work - maybe a padded room for 30 days LOL. Anyone got a relief pill for this??
Well the kids are up, gotta go make pancakes...and boil some more hard boild eggs for me. Good news....I got into a size 12 pair of jeans yesterday....Yipee, can't wait till monday's weigh in. Have a great weekend Ya'll
Later - from your favorite Florida GATOR

wow you guys all sound as if you are doing wonderful. 2lbs here and there, it must be a great week for everyone! way to go guys!

so the verdict on the outcome of the cheat i had wednesday: i lost a pound the day after, but gained three two days after. and three days after, i lost 2.5 of that. interesting. i read somewhere on here that carbs tend to cause you to retain water, so im wondering if the weight gain is from the water.

can those of you who are taking the L-Trypto... clarify what it does for you? is it just for decreasing cravings?

thanks,
rock on guys!

Default Thought I'd get this party started.

Monday is almost here, hope I'm not too presumtious to start the list. My weigh in is Sunday morning and I'm excited. Didn't see 2B-Able in here, so added you.

Bubu..........................170/169/171 Total loss = 0 (gain 1)
Mossygyrl...................148/Total Loss = 0 (ick)
Nicolegwen.................121/Total Loss = 0
Optimize.....................161/Total Loss = 0
Heatherelo..................171/170/Total Loss=1
Fishmonkey.................162/162/163 Total gain=1 (double ick)
TamiOrr......................200/Total loss=0
Rosemam....................145/Total loss=0
Rachelle..................... 140/137 Total Loss= 3
Lily.............................280/275 Total loss=2 (5 since November 5)
Ricky..........................165/167/161.5 Total loss=5.5
Petcrazed...................187/185/ Total lose=2
Deshukel.....................165.5/163 loss 2.5(Nov 17th begin)
2B-Able.......................167/165 Total loss=2

Hey deshukel - the cranberry juice is 7/8 carbs per 8 oz glass, I'm diluting it 1 part juice to 8 parts water = 1carb. I started this diet back in May, see longer posting yesterday, and I moved up the owl too fast evidently - ~ 2# per month here the last couple of months. Now that I have you guys it's easier to stay commited. I'm at the "whittle my middle" stage, and I guess thats just going to be the last thing that comes in line. Got quite a pouch going on there, maybe a tummy tuck will be in order when I get to goal weight...lol
Was logging on to compuserve and they have a list of the 5 most dangerous diets - of course Atkins was first.....stating the limit of calcium ie. milk would result in osteoporosis.....Even before atkins, I was taking my cal/mags before bedtime and an extra one when I had a TOM. Prevented leg and foot cramps. Please ya'll get a good vit/mineral supplement and take it. On most vitamins, at least the water soluable kind, what your body doesn't use--it will eliminate.

I'm next:

Lily..............Lost 7 pounds
petcrazed.....185/183 loss 2 lbs ( since noveber 10 6lbs)
Heather........................171/168=3lbs lost

Well thank goodness. I have not felt a big difference in my clothes but saw it on the scale. It is encouraging to see a downward trend. I'll take my modest three pound loss and go with it.
Keep up the good work folks!
Happy Monday

I'm leaving for the Dominican in 11 days so I plan to work out every day this week and take in no more than 25 grams of carbs. I would love to be 120 pounds for the trip. Wish me luck.

Congratulations everyone and keep up to good work. Some of you guys seem to be melting away!!!!!!
