Okay........this sounds like a good idea but I'm not sure how much water a person can drink and not drown. I will have to drink a lot of water. I will measure the cup I use. I think it is 20 sum oz and I drink three of those a day not counting what I take with any meds. I'm in. I'll start first thing in the morning. Hope all are still swimming.... Until later...

Me again just reporting in... I am swimming allright.... I am drinking my water with everything. I sometimes am not thirsty but I force myself to drink it anyways. It kills the hunger pains too. When I feel like chewing on something I sometimes chew on ice although I freeze my ice with green tea and a little splenda... works for me. Later water buddies.

Gabrielle..sorry, didn't mean to make it seem even more daunting! LOL

Well, the day I posted I managed to get in 8 glasses of water (64oz)

Yesterday I drank 12 cups of it (96oz).

Today I'm going for 16...2 down, 14 to go. Better get my ~$$ in the kitchen and drink. LOL.

Me too. I usually do real well during the week, it's the weekends when I forget to drink enough.

Yesterday went really well. When I emptied one bottle I just grabbed another. Kind of like chain drinking. I'm floating--let's just hope some pounds and inches float away. Thanks for the great challenge.

WOW... Some days I don't even have a glass of water. I stick to coke. I might start this one though!...

Working that out... if once ounce equals 29.57 milliliters and each coke has 330ml... then in terms of comparison with my weight (147/2=73.5).... So 29.57x73.5=

The equivilent in water is 6 and a half cans of coke per day... which is about 14 plastic cups of water per day... Crickey. I will never stop going to the loo

Hey all how's it going? I did well yesterday. About 112 oz but today i've only had 33.8 oz. i'm moving slow i know and it means ill pay for it allllll niiiight loooong.

Hey Skelk just think of what you can do with the money saved from not buying all that Coke. Well, thats the argument I usedon myself when I first decided to try this. Only problem is, I hate tap water. I buy bottles which means sometime I pay about the same as for a can of coke. Oh well ,I sure do feel better.

Week 2
11/17/03 =112 oz

Lightbulb This will make you WANT to drink water

Drinking enough water:
- Dimmishes/gets rid of keto-breath. Flush it down the loo instead of breathing it all over your workmates
- Keeps your skin looking young. Dehydrated skins looks tired and old.
- Helps get rid of cellulute
- Keeps food craving under control and you on track to your goals.

Can anyone else suggest reasons to make us want to drink more water?

Ok, I think I'll join you. I keep saying I don't get enough water in so this way I may be able to push myself. According to my calculations I should probably be drinking at least 105 oz. Guess I'll be floating away soon. I have noticed by the water I am drinking my hands and elbows feel softer.

Thumbs up

Today is day 3 for me, and I've been drinking about 120 oz per day. The bathroom trips are getting less frequent--guess my body is adjusting already. I'm still chain drinking--that seems to work well for me. The real question is if I'll keep this up during the weekend.

I'm finding that when I wake up at night I'm thirsty. I wonder if the more H2O you drink the more you crave? Anyone else noticing this?

Yesterday I drank 96oz of water. My minimum goal is 105oz. I was just thinking today I should probably add more because I am still breastfeeding my baby and I should be replacing those fluids also. I've had almost 100oz so far today...gosh it's 10pm, guess I'll be making some nite time bathroom runs...

So far, so good. Day 4 and although I got a later start this morning and had to really push the H2O this afternoon I still got to my goal.

DH is a huge coffee drinker. I've even got him drinking more water because of the big issue I've made of drinking all I need.

I am really struggling with this.

If drinking this much water feels so wrong, and is so hard, who on earth decided that it is what we should be doing? I'll wager its the same people who came up with the idea that I need 2500 calories a day, which is why I am here in the first place!
