Default weak, shaky feeling

Hi Everyone,

Today I woke up hungry, and felt weak and shaky. I ate one pork chop (last nights leftovers) and some ground beef mixed with a few spices.

I also took my bs before eating and it was 97-pretty good I think.

Whenever I felt like this before, I would eat lots of high carb foods and usually within 30 min. the shakiness went away. Well, it is almost three and I still feel the same way.
I went to the Indian rest. yesterday for lunch and had all chicken, and a few veggies. The only thing that might have had some carbs were some fried veggies. Maybe I got too many carbs.

Has this ever happened to anyone after being on Induction? Tomorrow I will weigh, it's the third week. I want to be so careful after that weird 6lb. gain.

(by the way-thanks to all who posted-it helped me tremendously)

Tina

There were a few days in which I did not feel particularly well in the beginning of the diet. Fixed themselves and I got feeling better by the day as the carb detox took place.

Yeah I get it too. Right after I ate accidental carbs (hidden) or when I'm nutrient deficient. Like jitters (weird to describe), So I started to take my supplement. It even out. ttyl

Hi Tina. Sometimes dehydration can cause that feeling. You might need to up your plain water intake? I had that feeling the first week or so of induction, but since then it seems to have gone away. Hope you're feeling better today. Julie.

Thanks Julie,

I am doing better today, I think I must have had too many carbs a few days ago and my body was rebelling back on induction. I feel better today. Woke up at three a.m. hungry!! But...stayed in bed. Good for me!

Hey Tina... watch the water thing. I've gotten a dizzy feeling from dehydration and then exactly the opposite, drinking too much water. Then again, I was well over 96 ozs a day (and sometimes still am). There are several paragraphs on this in the DANDR book that I read and Dr. Atkins mentions that for some people, it might be neccesary to work your way down to the induction level by eating less and less carbs each week. Anyways... sorry I couldn't be of more help.

HI Tina,

Hope you're feeling better now. I felt that way a lot the first week I started but I think it was because I forgot to eat. The only other time that's happened to me was when I ate something that was laced with MSG or some weird food additive. A few weeks before starting Atkins we went to a new Chinese place. About 2 hours after eating and the whole night, I felt shaky and jittery. Drinking a lot of water helped.

Leigh
