Talking Newbie looking for support

Hey there, my name is Heather and I am a newbie here on this forum

For the past few months I have been on this diet (since June I believe) and have successfully gone from 270, to my current weight of 220. The last few weeks though, although I excersise and make sure to only eat low carb foods, I have been stalling. After awhile it makes me feel like I will never get down to where I want to be, although I have come so far

I usually go to art forums for support on my work.. and notice it helps me keep focused and hopeful. So I decided to try posting here

I have some before and after pics....

Before:

And this is about a week ago...50 pounds less

I would really like to get some support, and perhaps some advice to further and speed up my weight loss, as none of my friends really know what it is to have to diet. My goal is 160lbs.. but at this point (and with my height being 5'9") I would even settle for 170-180.

Thanks Nice to meet all of you!

Welcome Heather!
A few suggestions - measure yourself. You could be losing inches when you are not losing pounds.
Post some of your menus here- perhaps there are things you are eating that you shouldn't.
Do you keep track of your carbs on www.fitday.com ?

Good luck to you - hang in there!

Hello and welcome

First of all congratulations on your great success. You have lost 50 pounds in 5 month..this is fantastic. Perhaps your body is just taking a break, so don't get discouraged. I would suggest for you to start your own journal..there you can list your food and perhaps we can give you more input on what to adjust or not. A good site is also www.fitday.com..there you can enter your food and get you ratios for the day.

I hope to read more from you. Keep up the great job

Sometimes the frankenfoods can cause people to stall. You've made great progress so far, though, and believe me we are all making changes along the way.
