Question I feel like I cheated? But didn't!

I can't get used to this diet at all. Not that I have any cravings, cause I just don't but I just had dinner and I am feel like I had too much to eat, although I know I didn't. I just find it hard to believe I can feel satisfied all the time and STILL lose weight.

Which by the way I am doing. 8 pounds in 4 days.

So is this a normal thing? I feel like I should stop eating because "How can one lose weight with a full stomach?". And I STILL am having a hard time reaching that 20 carbs a day limit.

Trust me, this is okay I think, I am just finding it hard to believe one can feel like this on a diet.....

Someone call the Pope, we gotta get Atkins sainted.....

You must be THE Mary they talk about so much......how's JC?

But seriously, this is normal?

I made this "stuff" for dinner and ate till I was satisified and I still feel guilty cause when I was a TurboCarbo I felt the same way. Of course then it was bread, pasta, chips or something else.

Unless I am all wet here, and made something for dinner that hinges on the insane, I feel damn good. Gonna go for a walk in a little bit and try to just relax.

But that is also a problem. I have yet to hit those 20 carbs for the day and my calorie intake is about 1000 below that 10-12 x Body weight formula.

If I go for a walk will I just vanish?

I wouldn't worry about the 10x at your current weight. As long as you are getting enough to meet your basic needs it should be fine. I'd say 1600-2000 is probably all you need. Be careful to not let your calories drop below 1200.

Keep adding more veggies if you are worried about carbs. Try having a small amount at each meal. As long as you are losing at a healthy rate, and you feel energetic and good then I wouldn't worry. If you start to feel lethargic or sick, then maybe review your suppliments and diet.

It's fun isn't it? My personal favourite was eating salmon and asparagus smothered in hollandaise sauce, after a late brunch of eggs benedict (no muffin) smothered in hollandaise sauce . . . and still dropping weight like crazy.

Enjoy this early ketosis-induced high! And don't worry too much about the calories, as long as you're getting 1200 as someone said. In the beginning, appetite is supressed A LOT, but I found that gradually you adjust and develop more of an appetite (but still controllable - thank the good doctor). Some days you may even feel a bit sick at the thought of eating at all (eat anyway!), but this doesn't last long.

Good luck!
