Default Just starting, feeling excited but nervous....

Hi everyone... I'm still doing some research but I'm planning to start on Atkins on Sunday... I'm very excited about this opportunity, this is a plan that speaks to me like no other. I have type II diabetes, have had since I was 22 and I'm hoping that this plan will give me greater control over my blood sugar. If anyone has any advice for a newcomer, I'd love to hear it. I've been reading all kinds of posts and this seems like a wonderful community!!

Jenn

Jenn,

The only advice I can give is simply this..... YOU are the only person that can allow this to fail so DECIDE to succeed and you will.

I have just started the Atkins Diet and after only three days I feel great, miss nothing and enjoy just knowing that with each day that passes, *I* have regained MY life......one less carb at a time...

Welcome to the Forum, I wish you success and please use this and every resource you can to meet your goal.

Max

Hi there! Great to have you here with us! About the best advice I can offer you if to do a clean, by the book, induction. I have said this so many times but I really believe it. It may be hard for a few days but it gets easier and your cravings will diminish sooooo much. Low-carbing has been really good to me. I wish you just as much luck!

Thanks so much...
I'm so glad to hear you say that about induction, because I know it'll be a tough road at first, but I'm looking forward to getting to the point where the cravings are at the very least manageable. I can't believe that cravings for chips would go away so quickly, I'm just feeling happier knowing it's right ahead of me.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!
