Thumbs up 2nd Time Around

Hi guys - I just registered here - I lost 23 lbs. on the Atkins Diet in June and July of LAST YEAR to fit into my wedding gown. I have gained all of it back in 1 year !! I need to lose some serious Lbs. I want to start the Atkins again tomorrow and drop about 40 lbs. ASAP !! Any help from reading all the stories on here and finding that there ARE people out there eating the same stuff that I am every single day, day after day after day in order to lose weight will motivate me BIG TIME !!!

See ya,
Angie

Default Hey Angie,

Welcome to the forum. Wouldn't we all like to lose the weight fast but unfortunately it didn't get there overnight so it's not likely to come off as quickly. You have to remember this is a lifestyle change and not a fad diet so don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen as fast as you would like.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Default Thanks Yall !

I appreciate the responses to my introduction. I plan to ATTEMPT to write down on here daily (or at least weekly) what I eat so others can view it and I can also track my progress and sucess. I hope to stick to it better and longer this time and see what happens with my weight loss. I have been reading other folks' journals and really think I am motivated to start tomorrow (with that said, I plan to eat lots of sweets tonight - kidding) - will keep in touch with everyone and let you know my progress ! Whoo Hoo !!

Default another 2nd time arounder

Isn't it funny that once you lose an amount of weight to make a difference in your clothes, you go off the diet? I did that a year ago after 29 lbs and feeling great. How stupid of me. Anyway, I am trying again but find that breakfast is the hardest for me. Eggs don't always sit well so I am scrambling (haha) for something else to eat in the morning. I have sent away for some of the low-carb bread mixes and hope they'll do the trick.

Angie,

Congrats on taking that first step to a new life. You and I have about the same beginning weight, and although it's different for everyone, I lost about 13 lbs so far and I'm just on day 13 of induction. Like most people, lost the majority of it in the first week. Just remember to drink a lot of water! It really helps things move along (In more ways than one).

Even if it comes off slowly, at least you're not starving on this WOL, and you're doing something healthy for your body, despite what the critics may say.

Raven
