Default I Passed It On!!!

Just a quick note of encouragement for everyone out there who gets the urge to cheat! I went out with a bunch of girlfriends on Saturday night (13 in total!) so you can imagine the decibels in that restaurant!! Anyway as I took my coat off I got oohs and aahs on how much weight I'd lost! I was floating on cloud nine all evening...until the rice and fried plantains arrived! This was a Creole restaurant so you can imagine how much rice was served for 13 people.

I looked at the rice and looked and looked! But I braced myself once it was handed to me and PASSED IT ON! Funnily enough no one noticed or made any comments which was nice 'cos although my friends know I'm doing Atkins they would have tempted me something fierce!

But the thing is I noticed and I passed it on so.....back onto cloud nine I went!!! So anyone out there who's thinking of cheating in a situation like this just Pass it on and the craving will pass!

Well done Maamel.

Its always a great feeling when you feel righteous. The longer you are on this way of life the more it becomes just that. After more than 2 years I no longer feel deprived in any way. Glad that your friends did not taunt you though as peer pressure can be hard.

Thumbs up well done you

Congratulations on making a wise decision - doesn't it feel good? I went out for a celebration meal not long ago and was worried about how I would cope with temptation without wanting to make too much of a fuss. In the end, everyone was so busy enjoying their food no one noticed that I'd only had a teaspoon of rice and a morsel of naan bread and two tiny bits of poppadom - it worked a treat. And I've felt far more confident since then about eating out. And I think the joy of Atkins is that there is so much lovely stuff you can eat that your plate doesn't look like your a "dieter" - specially when you can finish your meal with coffee and cream
