Angry Sunday Comics Section: Cathy (kathy??)

I was really ticked to see this cartoon today!!! A real put down for those of us who are low carbing - the typical thought pattern that all we eat is meat, butter and anything with fat in it - doesn't show all the veggies, or all the different ways to make "normal" foods low carb.
Let's all e-mail the editors and let them know how we feel - I will have to go back and check out where this is published.
Let's start letting everyone who puts this down how upset this makes us - I bet if they get undated with all the l.c.'ers out there they will finally understand the power of the $$$$$$ that can be made by helping us to eat foods without all that refined white flour, reg. sugar, etc. etc.!!!!!!!!!!

Heh. I hear ya. The press really haven't been fair about this WOE, and it seems that as a result (as usual) everyone is misinformed.

Email the editors? What for? The only control they have over the comics is choosing whether or not to publish them.

It doesn't seem like such a big deal to me. Besides, you've noticed that the person who's not low-carbing (Kathy) is the one who's always struggling with her weight. Hmm -- I wonder if there's a connection...

The cartoon is posted at ucomics.com ... http://www.ucomics.com/cathy/2003/11/02/

I think it's funny, and obviously exaggerating everything .. I mean, who brings a stick of butter to the office??

ROFLMAO!

Wow! LC sure has hit America... We have Cathy in some paper too, but this particular strip would never be understood in Sweden.

Great! Thanks for the laugh.

I prefer to lose weight, not my sense of humor! Too cute! I actually DID take a stick of butter to work once... the boss uses yucky trans-fat loaded margarine, so I brought my own "real" butter. Maybe she was peeking?????

I thought it was funny too. I'm kind of proud of the fact that our woe is being touted in all kinds of areas. Even KFC is trying to make a buck out of our woe. The more people who hear about it, the more people who might benefit from it. Since we're losing weight, let's lighten up!
