Hey guys,

Glad to here everyone is doing so well. I have have been swamped at work and haven't had much time to do anything. I know this is a bad excuse, but I've kinda fallen out of the workout and eating plan. The good news is at least I haven't gained any weight back. My weight was 125 today. Back on track as of this weekend. Better luck next week.

I only have 5 weeks to Dominican!!!!! I need some of your strength and willpower to rub on me!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Becky,

How does everyone else out there deal with stress effectively? I have been working a lot and our client just reduced the deadline by two weeks meaning I have been craming a months work into 2 weeks. I am finding it is now when I am really stressed out that I am reaching for high carbs comfort foods. I've never really thought of myself as an emotional eater but these last two weeks I've kinda adopted a I'm so tired and stressed out I'll just eat the spagetti that my BF made for dinner, or I'll have cereal for dinner. I've been really good with breakfast and lunch but dinner always goes out the window

I'm determined to get back on track though. I'm getting my belly button pierced next weekend so hopefully that will be a motivation for me. Just reading about everyone else's successes makes me want to be there also.

Hey Sabrina!
I deal with stress by having a PLAN! I'm really really big on planning. If you're working hard and overtime you could try to make your meal before you leave for work (OK, it sounds silly, but I HAVE actually thrown chicken in the oven in the AM before taking my shower) and for something like drumsticks, you just mix paprika with garlic powder (or garlic salt if you are not sodiumly challenged)and a quarter stick of butter and melt it in the microwave (a LOT of paprika, so that the melted butter is very red)and brush or pour it over the drumsticks before baking. It's so easy, and then you have nice, cold chicken for when you come home too tired to make anything!

So, that's one plan.

Jasmine

Thanks Jas,

That sounds really yummy. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I will definately try it this week. It's funny last night I made a menu plan for the next week so that I have at least some sort of a plan for eating. I found this great diabetic store here in Calgary (in Canada it is a little harder to locate low carb friendly stores) that sells the low carb tortilla's so at least I can make wraps on the go. And I have some pork rinds for quick snacking.

I am back on track and looking forward to the next week.
