Default Ok whats the REAL facts about Splenda for us??

Can we or cant we have it??? Im keeping myself at 20 carbs since my wt loss is so slow-but this weekend I DID have some splenda in some hot tea. I considered it my "treat" at the bd party! Afterwards I worried that I had done a no no.

So, is it one of those things that we really SHOULDNT eat or is it ok??? Thanks, L

As far as I know splenda is okay to eat, just make sure to count each tsp as 1g carbs.

Splenda is fine. Its what Dr. A recommended and is even okay in moderation (no more than 3 packets a day I think he said) even for induction.

It's a YMMV issue (Your Mileage May Vary.) I've been having the occasional glass of lemonade or Atkins shake (with Splenda) without any problems, but some people find it stops their weight loss.

I highly suggest reading the book before starting this diet.
