Default never trust pre-made foods grrrr

So I bought this meat loaf in the meat section of albertsons. Well just to be on the safe side I called albertsons to check the ingrediants. It has corn starch, crackers, and other no-no foods. Just be very careful with premade foods as you know!

I would have never picked out the meatloaf in the first place, nowing that it would have to have bread of some sort in it. That is how meat loaf is made. Also keep this in mind when ever you want to get meatballs!

I guess if you aren't used to cooking, you wouldn't know that meatloaf ALWAYS has crackers or bread, etc. in it... I agree about the meatball thing too. I go so far as to not buy anything not labelled with the ingredients unless it's a known quantity.

My homemade meatloaf doesn't contain any bread or crackers...even before we started low-carbing. DH prefers it that way. Just ground chuck, chopped green peppers, onions and garlic topped with tomato sauce. Now that I think about it, I could probably make these into meatballs to freeze for future lunches and snacks...
