Default Where is this article?

There is a great article written about how lowcarbing is best done if you don't quit and restart again later... that those that restart have a harder time than if you just stuck to it right from the start. I thought the article was on this website but for the life of me, I can't find it now. Can somebody please link me to the article please? I want to send it to a friend that is doing well on lowcarbing for the first time. Thanks!

hi there,

I *think* the article you're referring to is Uses and Abuses of Induction, from Dr. Atkins .. posted by Karen. That thread is a great discussion of the effects of yo-yo'ing back and forth.

hth,

Doreen

thanks! But that's not it. It was kind of a warning that if you're going to start a LC diet (of any kind I think) then you need to know to stay with it, because if you try again later, it won't be as easy and for some reason it never seems to work as well as it did the first time.

Eureka, Kristine, we have a winner! That's it! I guess it was from another website afterall... it's such an important (and unfortunately for me, true) piece of information, there should be a link to it from this site posted somewhere easy to find for others!!

Thank you!!!!

Hmmm... Though it's a good article, I'm not convinced. True, yo-yo dieting of any form will slow your metabolism, but I believe TIME is the bigger enemy. With age comes a slower metabolism. Even if you *do* take your one golden shot and never fall off the wagon, aging makes it an uphill battle to keep the weight off.
