Red face Geez! I won't do that again

I just finished lunch from Boston Market. I planned to be good. I didn't get potatoes or corn bread but I stupidly accepted their Thai dipping sauce for the chicken.yes, kids..I'm getting bored.

After dipping my first chicken piece and eatig it, I knew I was in trouble. Although sugar was not listed as an ingredient. It was loaded. I did stop myself but now I have an incredible headache. This literally the first sugar that's passed my lips in 30 days.

Needless to say, I will not make this mistake again.

eeek! i'm always very wary of ANY sauce i did not make myself. especially asian themed type of sauces. after checking labels in the grocery store looking for a good premade one, found they were just full of sugar!

hope the headache goes away soon...

I eat lunch out every day and have become quite handy at figuring out which foods have the hidden sugars or carbs, man I hate that headache! I usually load up on water and walk around as much as possible to try to burn it off (if I didn't get too much). I know what you mean about getting bored though... I am going to have to track down some quick and easy new lc recipes.

I am very careful with asian cuisines. A lot of the sauces are loaded with cornstarch even if they are not sweet.
