For those of you who wonder, I don't need a gtt Dr say if I continue to eat this way diabetes will not occur that my body will heal its self. My blood tests from last month are great my liver is healed and my blood pressure is exellent. the only meds taken now is my levothyroxine, off all the others. Now is there a way to fix thyroid? LOL I wish.

Huntress, that is such great news!!Glad you don't have to do the GTT, not that it is particularly obnoxious as medical tests go. Weird thing is, I was reading about it, and one site says you are supposed to have at least 250g carbs per day for 3 days before the test.I've had a couple of these, nobody ever told me that, just about fasting 12 hrs before the test. Have you been hunting? 2 guys from my church have gotten moose. One got a bison out on Kodiak. strange, in the pictures it looks so huge, you know the way they are, but he got only 250 lbs dressed cut meat out of it. Lots of people buttonholing me asking me to sign petitions to ban tree-stand hunting of bears. I don't sign, of course, tell them politely we're nowhere near running out of bears, so why should we care how ursus snuffs it? anyhow, congrats on your lc success, it really works, doesn't it? Bill
