Default pizza

Well I finally went and tried the Deep dish pizza that everyone has been raving about, I can't believe I've waited this long.

Last night we were barbequing but my girls and I wanted something different and I had wanted to try this recipe.

Well it was awesome, my husband who shrugged his nose at it saying eggs at the bottom, loved it so much I had trouble keeping him out of it. Well my two teenage daugthers who are lcing also ate it last night and the rest of it today.

I should have made two of them so I could eat!!!!!!

Yes this is basically it, although I found it on another low carb site way before it was posted here, but it is terrific, and doesn't taste eggy at all. Definitely satisfies that pizza bug.

IM going to make this tomorrow but with a white sauce, that way it will have less carbs. Thanks so much for the idea!

Hi lbiessen--

Yes, we finally made our first last weekend, and it definitely won't be our last! Lucky us, we made up two at the same time, after learning that it freezes well...so we have a whole 'nother pizza waiting for us in the fridge. We made our first with hot sausage, mushrooms and onions, and our second is a pepperoni, onion and mixed (red & green bell) pepper. We found that 1/8 pan was a very filling serving for each of us. Between the pizza and a meatloaf we made up at the same time, we hardly did any cooking last week...mostly just reheating. Love those Lo-Carb convenience foods!

Hi Everyone! I just want to say...whoever created the recipe for LC pizza is a genius! I craved it from the moment I saw this thread, and finally made it today. OMG, it's even better than pizza with "real" crust!
For the curious ones, I did a complete carb count as I prepared the pizza. I followed the recipe exactly as it was posted in this thread. I used 1/2c of Hunt's Tomato Sauce for my pizza sauce, it was the lowest carb. I topped it with 75g of cooked sausage, 1c mozzarella, a small can of sliced black olives (2.25oz), and a small can of mushrooms (4oz). If you cut it into 9 slices, each one has (exactly!) 4 carbs and 275 cals. You can't beat that, b/c it was absolutely so satisfying and took care of my pizza craving.

Now that I have found la tortillas, I wont be making the pizza quiche anymore, I love my pizza toppings on the tortillas . It tastes so good and is much easier. I have made my share of pizza quiches since May and this is much easier and I think it tastes better.
Maybe they are addictive.

I loved it! The oil in the bottom fried the crust so it was crunchy, that helped. I used a white sauce (buttermilk rance with diced garlic, be sure its homemade rance!) Then I topped it with chicken, olives, feta cheese, peppers and onion. It was really really good, thanks for the idea!

Thanks for the post and the link. We made the Deep Dish Pizza Quiche last night and loved it. I took all the ingredients and figure the total carbs and divided by the 6 peices we cut it into. I came up with 4.7 carbs per peice. How many carbs did you count? I realize it depends on which brand of ingredients you used.
