Angry When do I lose inches??????????

In the past two weeks, I have lost 8lbs! dont get me wrong, I am not complaining but when will I start losing inches? My measurements still have not changed! I am faithfully getting to the gym in the a.m. before breakfast. I am almost afraid to start weight training for fear the scale will go up! I could really care less if my weight changed anymore but I want my measurements to change! When will this start happening? It has changed since I lost the last 15lbs

I'm not an expert on the whole exercise thing but I think that if you are just sticking to cardio workouts, you are not really reshaping your body - that only comes with weight training. You don't have to pump tonnes of weight either. You can start with a pair of 5 lbs hand weights and do some squats, bench presses, rows, side laterals, curls and tricep extensions (to see how these exercises look check out fatwars.com). You can do 2-3 sets of 20 reps per exercise and if you do incorporate the weights into your workout do the weights FIRST, then do a 30-60 min cardio workout. Of course before you do anything at the gym start your entire workout with 10 minutes of moderate cardio to get your body going, then the weights, then the rest of the cardio at your fat-burning rate.

So far this has worked for me. I haven't lost any inches in my bust or waist (which traditionally were the first places I'd lose) but I have lost some inches off my stomach, hips and thigh area which is where I want the majority of weight to come off so I am a happy camper.

You have nothing to lose if you try this method for 2 weeks. Keep us posted.

Default And another thing..

I forgot to mention, I alternate my workout. In a typical week (Monday-Friday) I will do the weights and cardio M/W/F and on Tuesday and Thursday I do 60 minutes of cardio.

Every day each workout ends with 80-100 ab crunches.

I take the weekends off!
