Plan: Sugar Busters to Atkins to CALP to The Stephanie Diet :)
Stats: 163/141.8/128 Female 5' 2"
BF:
Progress: 61%

Default Does this woe make you better, or make you feel better?

I've been on CALP for eight days now and I think it's brilliant. I'm a severe carbohydrate addict according to the test, and I can well believe it, not least because I feel so much better on this woe. I'm just curious to know what you all think ... if you stay on CAD/CALP for a long time, does your body actually start to heal itself and become less insulin resistant? Or is carb addiction a permanent problem that we have to live with and manage through the woe? I'd be very interested to hear some views on this

Regards
Stephanie.

Welcome!!! Your body does become less insulin resistant and heal itself. However, once a CA (carb addict) always a carb addict!! CAD/CALP doesn't cure the condition, it only controls it!!

In total agreement here--controlled, but not cured. If I go "off the wagon" even a little bit, I immediately start thinking carb-ey thoughts again. But to have it under control is truly a wonderful thing!

I can always tell if my carbs have been too high the day before, as I wake up hungry. If I balanced everything properly, I don't wake up hungry,
