Default Weight gain - still induction

This is my 12th weeh on induction and when I weighed myself yesterday I had gained 4 pounds. I weighed again this morning to reassure myself it was just water retenttion or something, and then I was up another pound. Any ideay what is going on? I am not eating any of the "forbidden" foods. Some days I go past the 20g (22, 23) but if I had switched to OWL wouldn't I be higher anyway without the expectancy of weight gain?

Agnes,

I've been on Atkins for about 6 weeks and have lost weight. I'm no expert but you might want to check with your Dr. to see if you have a thyroid issue. Atkins is so high in fat, if you have a thyroid problem it wouldn't be hard to gain weight. What does your avg. day look like foodwise?

Hi Agnes!
If you haven't cheat it couldn't be fat so it must be fluid retention. Is your TOM near? I can gain 3-4 pound with TOM or in my ovulation process.
Drink water and hang in there!

Wow! I can't believe this! I was actually wondering in my journal if my ovulation wasn't responsible for the weight gain!!! Is this for real?!?

I am glad there is an explanation for this but doesn't it totally suck to be a woman? I mean I'm doing this with my husband and there he is, cruising along, with no period, ovulation, water retention or anything of that kind.

Thank you SO much. You have changed my gloomy day into a bright evening. I was totally discouraged.

Agnes

Yes, not to mention muscle mass... My husband exercises as much as I do - which means I have to sweat it out like a pig at the gym!!! - and you should see those muscles starting to bulge out. Me? Still tons of flab to get rid of .
