I can't see how it would - If you're eating so few carbs why would you need/want to block them? The ones you are eating - from good quality veggies and low glycemic berries - are packed with phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals your body needs, blocking that seems rather counter productive - at least to me

I've used them and they work...Main problem with them is they have gastric side effects (constipation, gas, etc...) I don't use them too often, because I don't like farting every 10 minutes and not being able to #2. That said...I use them when I'm in a sitaution where cheating is inevidible (Family Reunions, Holiday Meal w. Family, etc...) BTW, they only block something like 60-75% of Starch...and they don't block Sugars at all. So, when I use them, I also avoid all fruit.

Don't waste your money. They work for only a fraction of people out there and only on certain carbs. People who claim it "works" for them in combination with LCing are probably lucky and/or could tolerate the larger carbs (like I can with certain starches).

All I got for my money was really bad gas.... PLUS, when I had them with me, I felt "safe" having foods I shouldn't, and that set off cravings terribly.

I tried the advice of another on the boards (I was desperate to be able to use them after paying so much, AND I wanted to be able to "have my cake, in this case FRIES, and eat them too!) she used them to "cover" small amounts of carbs in situations where it was unavoidable... BUT, it's suprising how many "unavoidable" situations came up when I thought I could get away with it!!

For me, it was an expensive way to derail myself.
