bloating
I've had troubles with swelling and fluid retention too ... Try radically cutting back the salt and processed foods -- so no bacon, ham, sausage, deli meats or cheese, no canned vegetables, or canned tuna, salmon or sardines, unless label says no salt added. No mustard, pickles, condiments with salt. Make home-made mayonnaise. And nix the soda pop (soda = sodium).
And bump up the potassium intake for a while. Unless you are in kidney failure, or taking blood pressure medication. Then you should talk to your doctor. Anyway, I take 1/8 tsp of the NoSalt (pure potassium chloride, do NOT mistake for HalfSalt, which has sodium salt) and mix it in a glass of water. Drink it down. Do this twic a day. 1/8 tsp of NoSalt provides approx. 325mg potassium, which is the amount in a large banana.
Exercise helps, and nothing better than brisk walking.
Only other thing I can think of is constipation, which can bloat you up, and cause fluid retention too. Read my article Bowel Problems in the Tips section, from the red menu bar at the top.
All the best
