I've been LCing for about 4 mo's..and the past few days I've noticed I'm not peeing like I used to. I still drink ~ least 64 oz of water a day..usually more.

This worries me..I wonder if this is normal..does your bladder get used to holding all the water? Then again I think my kidneys aren't functioning like they should be. My pee stream seems weak..( I'm a Woman,,HEAR ME ROAR!! lol )

Has anyone else experienced this? Please let me know before I go to the Dr.

Waiting for replys,

Candy

this could be a symptom of a problem. I'd call lthe doctor ASAP. You could have kidney issues, or such.

Arie, thanks. I 'm so busy right now..going out of town this coming wk end..gosh I don't want to deal w/ this.

Do you think it is from too much protien in my diet? I drink ALOT of water because I know how important that is.

Anyone else out there have this? I feel like the only one.

Is TOM about to visit? That always slows me down and then I gain water weight (5 to 10 lbs).

Are yo peeing VERY little, or just less. When you up carbs you get less diuretic effect. If you in fact are barely peeing, then get to the doctor NO MATTER how busy you are. Do you have time for god-forbid, dialysis? Kidneys shut down fast. I'm not diagnosing you or anything, just wanting to point out that if this goes on for more than a day or 2, you need to address it ASAP. Ok?

... the weather has been hot lately, you may just be USING the water you're.drinking. If things are "different" enough to make you this worried, go get a check-up, even if you're busy. You'll feel better!

Try drinking 100 ozs plus.

If you are active, 60-70- ozs is not nearly enough water to keep the plumbing running at top speed.

Concentrate your mind, and then drink water until you start peeing copiously, or go to the
emergency room.

This is not a matter to mess around about. Do it now.

Calm down!
After establishing your diet plan, your body will naturally adjust to urinating less often.
First off, the weather has been hot all over-are you sweating more?
Are you retaining water? Check your legs and ankles-are they feeling tight? Are your fingers stiff and do your rings fit normally? Is your period due?
Are you having any trouble breathing?
If you are peeing normally (but not copiously like you expect) you are probably fine.
If you have a full chemstick rather than ketostick-check and see what else you might be spilling in your urine-specifically blood and protein.
Lastly-I agree with the others. You should be concerned about drastically reduced urine output and call your doc ASAP.

I have to agree with potatofree. If it's been hot where you live and you've been active and sweating, then this may be the cause. For example, I went to Cedar Point amusement park last week and the weather was 98 degrees. I drank AT LEAST 200 oz of water that day and only peed once. It was just being naturally sweated out. Sit down and try to think of any differences lately (higher activity, added carbs, more salt, hot temp, etc...). If nothing explains it, then get to your doc right away.

notice blood in your urine lately, or any other signs associated with kidney failure? if not, dont sweat it, because you are probably just SWEATING it

Thanks everyone for your replys. It's not like I'm not going , it's just less. I used to be running to the bathroom constantly, and lately it 's been a lot less. I can go for 2 or 3 hrs without thinking to go.

Yes it has been really warm here too. I still get up once a night and go though.

I thought maybe it was my body adjusting to my diet...I will go to the Dr if I feel there is anything really wrong.

Thanks again everyone..

i'll have to disagree with most, I run, lift weights, and play sports and my body has never gotten adjusted to the extra amount of water I take in. I do drink nearly 2 gallons of water per day and take in my bodyweight in protein. I would reccomend getting a check up because it's not worth the risk.
