Hi Banana! Been drinking tons of water each day, plus eating plenty of greens, including broccoli, plus taking the Metamucil, without much relief. I tried an apple yesterday, now that I'm in phase 2, but didn't have much luck. Maybe I'll try a little popcorn or grapes - that's always done the trick in the past. Thanks for your support!

Wow! Look at the people in my thread!!

Nice to see some fellow SBD!!! I love this diet. But I'm running out of originality. But I'm sticking to it!!

No~I did not get a scale yet. Maybe tonight when we go "back-to-school" shopping! So yeah, I still do not know exactly how much weight I have lost. I don't think a lot. But I really don't know.

Oh and... I drink Diet Pop. Diet Vanilla pop is soo good.

Glad to see this thread on SB. The book has been interesting, so we're trying it. My fiance is on it with me. Although he only has about 5-10 to lose, it's good to have a buddy. And now, I feel like I've found about a zillion buddies. And I need +zillion.

Just checking in with my fellow SBD'ers...How is everyone doing?

Today is Day 4 in Phase 1 for both my boyfriend and I. We both lost 3 pounds each. Arghh weekends are going to be so tough, especially at the movies.

Have a great weekend all

Smile congrats!

Sounds like you're off to a great start, Ang! Keep it up! I'm on day 20 and 14 pounds down, which is the best thing I've done for myself in years! The great thing about SBD is that it's so versatile - whether you're a gourmet cook or just go for the basics (like me), you can really tailor it to suit your lifestyle. I'm so excited and more determined than ever now to get the weight off!

oh and as far as the movies, in phase 2 you can have popcorn again (sparingly, of course), so going to the movies won't always have to be torture!

Smile Hello Beach babies!

Ang - Good job!

Lulu - Totally in agreement about the versatility of SB.
What I really is like is the flexibility......you have the option of using the carbs in stage 2, or not. I tend to stay around 30 carbs a day, but at least for me, it's good to know that I can have something a little higher in carbs and not feel as if I've gone off plan. In the past, that's always spelled disaster for me. I blow a meal....I blow a day.....I blow the whole thing off.

Hope everyone is feeling good!
-J

Hi Steph,

I am a South Beach dieter, too. 6 weeks and I have lost 14 pounds.
Lulu - try some metamucil. It takes a few doses to kick in, but it will relieve your constipation.
Ang- I see someone has answered your questions about Diet Rite - it's ok. I also visit prevention forums, and diettalk.com forums. There is a lot of information on prevention, and diettalk is a smaller group...easier to navigate sometimes.

This diet is really an easy lifestyle!!!

Hello girls!

...still haven't bought a scale...
Money's tight right now. I should try to find one at a garage sale or something!

Today is me and my boyfriend's official ONE month on the diet. We goofed a little over the weekend (BBQ Ribs cooked on the smoker ~ could NOT resist) but we are back strictly on Phase 1. We haven't officially crossed over to Phase 2 yet. We're being a little hard on ourselves. But... soon. Maybe another week.

Sorry... can't update ya on my weightloss because I have no scale... but some subliminal messages are telling me to go get one so... maybe soon I will!! I feel weightloss... which is good enough for me!

bye bye
