Smile Hello (Newbie)

Hello,

I'm new to this forum and I've recently decided to start the low carb diet plan, however, I don't have any real info on what the low carb is all about. But I do know that I need to cut down on my carb in take.

I weight about 178 and I'm 5'0. I would like to lose 35 to 40lbs. So any info that you guys might have will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Cute!

If you go to the top of the page and click Tips in the red bar, you'll find tons of info. There is also a list of recommended books.

THe most popular seem to be Atkins, Protein Power and Carbohydrate Addicts. It's best to read as many books as possible to give you all the information you need to be successful with a low carb way of eating.

Welcome Cute4life:

My advise to you is to take a few moments to check out a few links and threads here at the fourm...the tips link at the top of this page is a must read along with several threads from several forums designed to help newcomers....one such thread that comes to mind is:

http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthre...?threadid=15909

Most importantly educate yourself by reading books put out by several authors... the Eades and Dr. Atkins to name but a few...there is a Forum in the making that does a comparison of many LCPlans...wouldn't hurt to check that out as well
