Hi LC,

I would just leave it out.

I usually add a bit of tomato paste to anything like that with mince - it thickens things nicely. Just be sure to measure the tomato paste. According to Dietclub, 1 (Australian) tablespoon of tomato paste has 1.2 carbs.

both sound like good suggestions. I could do either one I suppose.
Do you happen to know if there is a carb count on guar gum?

I haven't yet found a need for it. I've heard it can be a bit slimy. (Not saying it is, just that I've heard that. ) And no, I'm sorry I don't know what its carb count is.
