Question Was it Franks??

Hi, I have read posts that mention the sauce on hot wings. The kind like applebee's or Chili's. Was it Franks with butter added? I want to make some, anyone know how much butter to sauce?
Thanks so much.

I've found it in all of our local stores---Super Wal-Mart, Giant Eagle, Shop N Save.

I don't use any butter in mine---I used to, but it takes away from the hotness and kinda makes em mild.

Franks hot sauce is available at most grocery stores. Look in the condiments isle (by the ketchup and mustard). I make my wings with equal parts hot sauce and butter, but if you like them spicier, increase the hot sauce.
I know for sure that Meijer carries it.

Yes...it's Franks Red Hot! The recipe for the hot wings sauce is on every bottle of Red Hot that I have seen. You can get Franks Red Hot in any grocery store (at least any that I have been in through out the midwest and East coast).

Hey there! I posted in the recipie forum and here, but I guess it got lost in the shuffle.....If your interested I recently created a little chicken hot sauce thingy!

I used Chicken legs, but wings work too!

I buy ashanti chicken wing sauce, 0 carbs and it is really good!

MIx with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes, and anything else ya like!

Dump in a ziploc bag with the chicken and moosh it around till its coated, then cook on a cookie sheet for about an hour, and u can baste a little more sauce about 15 mins before u take it out of the oven! If yal ike spicy this is super low carb and good too!

ENjoy if ya make it!

i have been intimidated to make wings bec I don't want to deep fry them. It's also terribly hot and I don't want to use my oven - can I do it in a toaster oven, say a batch of 12-15?
I just baste and bake? What kinds of wings do you buy? Fresh, frozen? etc? I'm a real newbie - never done it before in my life.

No deep frying necessary....U can buy the frozen wings, sauce em up, and it just takes longer to cook.......I buy the "cookin good" frozen wings, and the regular fresh legs at the meat dept in the grocery store.....
I dont deep fry anything, just roast and it is so darn tasty!

But, if ya dont wanna use the oven, im sure u can broil in the toaster, but it will take awhile and u cant make much at a time....
