either really, you can pour it just like normal cream - or whip it until you get stiff peaks with your blender

About 2 oz. of heavy (whipping) cream makes a generous individual serving. If you are looking for a taste that approximates Cool Whip or Redi-Whip (only better), you may want to add a bit of Splenda (1/2 tsp. of the granular) to your cream during the whipping. Very tasty!

I live in the South (read...hot and humid) and sometimes have trouble with my cream whipping up right. I read in a cookbook a long time ago that you should chill the bowl and beaters in the freezer before whipping. Also make sure the cream is real cold. This really makes a difference in the way mine turns out. Hope this helps!

Be very careful....there is a fine line between whipped cream and butter!!
I often find that the whipping cream isn't thickening very quickly and then all of a sudden, it's ready. You must really keep your eye on it.

One of my favorite kitchen "toys" for making whipped cream (and lots of other things) is a "stick" blender. You can "pump" the blender up and down, which injects air into the cream for a nice "frothy" mix. It's very quick, too. The others are right...a chilled bowl and mixer blade works best, particularly on warm, humid days.

I have one of those containers that makes it, (nope I dont use whip its to get high) lol! Whipping cream is great, jsut be careful on serving size, its very hard to tell sometimes. My favorite treat is having a peach or rasberry diet soda, cream, topped with whipping cream. mmmmmm

I use a Kitchen Aid, works great-but in a bind I used my smoothie maker, worked just as well, but I needed a spatula to get it out... I always add about a tablespoon on Splenda, it tastes SO MUCH like Cool Whip, you can not tell the difference.. I did whip one batch a little TOO long, I almost had SWEET butter on hand! I make a Parfait with sugar free jello and the whip cream I make.. It is SO delicious................................
Great little snack every once in a while!
