Unhappy I need a pick me up!

Hello Im just starting atkins this week and I need some pick me ups. I was on weight watcher at one time and lost 16 pounds. So pumped did everything right workedout. Hit a wall and didnt lose anymore. Gained it all back. Im so afraid the same thing is going to happen with this diet!!!! Im sick of the way I look and feel.... I was the skinny girl that everyone wanted to look like in high school. Im 29 in September and I want feel and look that wonderful again. I want this to work so bad... Id love to be 130 pounds.. I wear a size 14 and squeezing in that. Very uncomfortable in everything I put on. always pulling on my shirt so its not showing my belly. No kids either. Hate to see pictures of myself. My husband is in the gym ever morning at 5am. Im Not a morning person... Hes in awesome shape. And I feel bad that he is stuck with a pleasantly plump wife.. I want to be skin soo badly.. i drive my friends crazy talking about how fat I am. I know I need to stop being lazy and just do it. I dont want to hit that wall again. Every person Ive heard that has been on this diet has lost lots of weight! Sorry to cry but I need a pick me up... Thanks for listening!!!!

Fondly, Nicole

Hi Nicole!

I know, it's no fun starting something if you're afraid you might mess it up. Don't worry - this isn't your drivers test or something, there is no "failure." There's also no time limit. You're changing your life. It won't happen overnight, no matter how faithfully you follow induction. You'll have bad days - we all do. It's part of the journey, and the important part is not your mistakes but how you recover from them.

I think something that will really help you is to not just focus on losing weight, but educate yourself on all the other health benefits, too. The weight loss motivated me 'till I hit goal, but it's the nearly-cured acne, improvement in energy, improvement in moods, and all-round health that keep me here.

I think it will also help you to take the pressure off yourself. This isn't a crash diet - it's a lifestyle change. How your body chooses to lose the weight is out of your control, so relax and enjoy how good you'll feel. Take it one day at a time and enjoy life in the meantime - don't put anything off until you're "skinny".

Keep us posted! Best of luck on your journey!

Hi Nicole, you have started Lcing and I believe you will reach your goal with success if you do not give up. There will be walls here too, but walls can be knocked down. Just do your best and your will lose the weight for your honey.
