Smile Day 5 and Feeling Great!

Here I am starting Day Five --- no cheats either (how do you get that no cheating logo by the way?) I feel so much better and don't have that tired heaviness in my arms and legs... a Funny thing happened yesterday. I have been monitoring for subclinical hyperthyroidism and I was thinking to myself (before starting low carb)... why does a person gain weight who has hyperthyroidism?? am I a pig???? Well I had another set of bloodwork done and my thyroid has flip flopped and now I'm Hypo, which is ok because it make sense. I am now getting treated for that and of course being closely monitored.

the Atkins plan is awesome! I love the way I feel... finally finally finally I am in control after years and years of saying... "I'll start tomorrow..."

Been drinking lots of water...those Keto stix are fun and reinforcing. What's the theory behind not weighing in... I have been every 12 hours. Should I not be? (I'm down about 6-8 pounds).

Hello, i am starting day three today and i am down 3lbs. I feel great as well. I don't know about the scale thing just thought I would say hello. There is something that might help you. i have been reading a lot of journals and have found a lot of answers to questions i had that way. I also need to figure out how to get the no cheating icon. Good luck and hang in there.

Thanks for the support! I might have got the signature right, but i'm not sure if it's working! the post said to put in:

(then you change the 4.gif to 5, 6, etc). But again, I 'm not sure I got it right... I sort of doubt it!)

Nope it didn't work!! can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

As far as not weighing in, it can be discouraging to some to see their weight fluctuating. Also, there are times that the scale stays the same, but inches are being lost. So it's a good idea to measure yourself and track it that way. Personally I weigh everyday, but seeing the ups amongst the downs doesn't bother me, as long as the general trend is down.
