Question How much water do you drink?

I heard that the rule of thumb if you want to lose weight...drink 1/2 ounce of water for every pound you weigh? That would mean that I would have to drink 105 oz. I think I would float away!!! I'm drinking about 60-70oz per day, is that enough?

Thanks in advance!

~Amy

Some days it's a struggle, but I try to get in 80 ounces a day. I only allow myself one diet soda a day and the rest of my beverages must be water, so that helps.

Hi,
Well... yesterday I drank 156 oz of water! I was going to post is drinking to much water bad? But I contacted a friend of mine and she said not at all as long as you break it up durning the day. I will tell you I lost a full lb when I woke up this am!
And my skin looks WONDERFUL!!!
I think the more water you can get it the better.
I space my water up durning the day. I have a little bottle 16.9 oz and I try to drink a whole one before 8 am then I start to see if I can get in one every hour or so. I works for me if I keep the water cold and have a smaller bottle to guzzle from.
Good luck, and no worries If I did not float away you wont either!

My body seems to function best at the 1/2oz for every pound. I'm drinking 144oz/day. If I drink more, I have a continual sick feeling. If I drink less, I retain.

I kept track the other day just out of curiosity. I drink 400-500oz of water a day. And yes I do pee alot :P

I have a 64oz hospital mug I sip out of at home. Then when I go on walks I have water bottles that vary on size. The longer the walk, the larger the bottle I take. They range from 20oz to 1.5 liter.
