peiqinglon; While I am new to this board I am an old timer to Dr.Adkins idea. I got the book back in 1996 and went on the diet. Quite successfully I might add.
Having studied the book "New Diet Revolution" thouroughally
like a textbook (I was a college teacher) I notice in your question an indication of a partial lack of understanding of Dr.Adkins basic premise. None of the replies referred to this therefore I believe this mis-
understanding is widespread.
You seem to indicate that losing the fat from the burgers on the Foreman grill is a loss. Dr. Adkins, as far as I could discern from his books did not mean for this to be a "high" fat low Carb diet.
It was to be a normal consumption of fats with low cargs. In other words it was in contrast to the "Low fat diets" that abound. He did not say "eat all the fat that you can" but "eat a normal amount of fat" vs the stupid low fat diets that do not work. I know about them I was put on one by my doctor and I simply could not follow it for several reasons. Can't go into them here--too long.
I did want to point out this misconception of Dr.Adkins idea.
