Default I'm getting married!! HELP!

Okay, so I am getting married in December, and I don't want to wear a Mumu!!

I already go to curves 4 days a week, and I am doing the Atkins diet (almost) religously!

Does anyone have any suggestions on other things I can do. It's like 110 degrees outside so walking and riding a bike are not really options I can do yet, but as soon as it cools down., I plan to start walking every night.

What about a stationary bike or a treadmill at home? Those are my two most common forms of exercise.

How about an exercise tape? Something like Pilates or Yoga at home would definitely tone but isn't overly active. Good luck!

Congratulations!!!

I have heard Curves is good. I haven't gone but have read about the program. I prefer exercising at home, that's the main reason I haven't checked them out. I agree that maybe some more cardio with walking or a video, and perhaps yoga and stretching daily.

Keep it up and before you know it you will be a buff babe!!

Do you know if libraries carry those videos so I can check them out before I buy them? I am willing to try anything. I even got my abswing out of the closet and dusted it off. LOL

Default Walk in the morning?

I didn't think I could do anything before I finished my coffee, but I'm discovering that it's really quite nice outside at 6:30 AM. I'm in NC; it's hot AND humid but daily walking is making a difference.

I go to Curves, but I also use Body Flex. It has definitely sped up the loss of inches. It's not difficult at all and it only takes 20 min. or so for the entire workout. Maybe the library will have a copy to borrow (BTW- borrowing from the library is an excellent idea).

Who knows where you'll be in December-- your progress thus far is wonderful. I don't see any mumu's in your future.

Happy LCing!
Nikki

I don't know if there is any place to swim or do water arobics near my new house. I will look into it as soon as I get settled. (I am moving today and tomorrow)

Thanks for all of the good advise. I will keep you posted on my progress.

Thanks for the encouragement and the congrats.

I moved in to my new place, and today I am going tothe curves which is 4 blocks from my house. Hopefully one of those ladies will know what else is around. Also, last night I found there is a park 2 blocks from the house, so I walked with my son over to the park and let him play.

My fiance and I also plan on taking my son to the zoo this weekend and walking all around there.

The funny thing is, that even with moving and not being very good with the diet, etc this weekend, I still fit into a pair of pants that I couldn't wear 2 weeks ago. LOL Must be all the exercise from hauling boxes!!

I got married last sept and lost an incrediable amount of weight before hand, the month prior to the wedding it just dropped of, I think all the running around and stress helped. After the wedding I put loads on and I am now working to get it back of. You can and will do, good luck for everything.
Savour every moment of the day, it goes so quick!!

Best of luck

Well, my friend is making my dress, and the pattern we bought is for size 18-22 I am in a size 22 now, but I am hoping to be in an 18 by the wedding. Angie says she can take the seams in as many times as I need her to. LOL

I got an e-mail today saying "only 142 days to go" they were trying to sell me something. LOL THAT kind of stressed me out. I didn't need it broken out into days JUST yet. LOL

I am having some stress, but mostly it is the good kind. Getting used to having him around all the time is the big thing for me. I don't remember the last time I just sat and read a book in the evening.....I am always going and doing something now.
