Yeah, pizza for sure. Of course there's a ton of carbs in the white flour crust, but cooked down tomatoes have a ton of carbs also. Worse than that, I think lots of sauces have added sugar, to simulate the "vine ripened" tomato taste, or just to pander to our national appetite for sweet. Even the cheese has some. Put them together and its lethal. If you are lucky, the cheese and toppings will have enough fat to slow down the absorption of the carbs a bit, but its still bad. Baked potatoes are killers also. Fast food burgers, with lots of white bread and ketchup and sugar in the "secret sauces" and of course "sweet and sour" dishes at chinese restaurants. Rice is bad for me, doesn't seem so outrageous to some. Which brings up a question - the glycemic indexes, as far as I know, are compiled by checking the post-meal blood sugars of healthy normal people. So what happens for diabetic, overweight, insulin-resistant people? I suspect the results will be similar, but perhaps more pronounced.Bill
