Default Low Carbing question

Ok, have a question here.

Talked to a few people that have tried different low carb plans, and someone told me that they do the induction for 2 weeks, then have a cheat day, and go back on to induction for 2 weeks.

Has anyone tried this? If so, has it worked? If you didnt for a reason, what was your reason?

A lot of people are totally against cheating. But I do this to some degree. Every 2 weeks I have a cheat MEAL. That is 1 meal of what ever I want (including dessert), but the trick is TO FINISH IT COMPLETELY IN 1 HOUR! There is a section in Dr Atkins book where he talks about this. He doesn't condone cheating, but he says if you can finish in 1 hour, you will save yourself considerable damage. Read his book before you decide what is best for you.

I think you have to do what works for you. It's different for everyone. If you do cheat some people get thrown out of ketosis and also start having cravings for sugar or something else again. I personally don't do it but like I said...it's what works for you. Best of luck to you!
