I doubt it. Mayo is pretty much just fat and fat is good for this way of eating. It's possible that you are just losing very slowly because you are so close to goal. That's how it is for me. Just hang in there!

What else are you eating....Can you outline a typical meal or maybe list your most eaten foods?

Hi siobhan

Do you use the salad dressing type mayo? I changed from the salad dressing type mayo to the regular and lost 4 carbs per day. I make a chicken salad that requires 2 tbsp of mayo. The salad dressing type mayo had 2 per tbsp and the regular has 0.

Also, the salad dressing mayo has 125 mg of sodium whereas the regular has 75.

Of course, if you are using the regular type, then I am out of ideas regarding the mayo.

I also don't see the mayo causing a stall. You are so close to goal and its those last couple pounds that are the hardest to take off. Hang in there ~ Good Luck

Thanks for all your replies. That's good news as I love mayo I was hoping I wouldn't have to give it up.

My $0.02 -- It's possible, siobhan, that you're consuming too many calories if you love your mayonnaise.

Anything not in moderation can prevent weightloss.

Do you use fitday? That might be able to tell you how many cals of mayo you're consuming.

Yes I use fitday but sometimes I don't take just one tablespoon and get carried away from now on I will only have a tablespoon at a time. I took your advice yesterday and did one hours weight training this morning.

Thanks
