Thumbs down AGH! The sodium - Fast Food Lovers beware!

Although I don't eat "fast food" often, today while running errands I stopped at BURGER KING. Got my grilled chicken caesar salad and a Bacon Cheese burger. After going on Burger King's website to get the nutritional analysis so I can plug into FITDAY I was SHOCKED to see the sodium content! I ate my entire day's sodium in one meal!!! I know I will retain water now

So beware those of you who have a tendancy to retain water!

...drinking extra water to flush the sodium out of my body a bit faster.

Yes, most fast foods are loaded with it, unfortunately.

Thanks for the warning. I love fast food as it's easy and requires no prep.

But it does have consequences: carbs, empty calories, sodium, and weeks of strictly sticking to your way of eating to undo the damage instead of progressing to "new" pounds. Some convenience

I think the convenience factor is why most of us tend to eat "fast food" - - even if we take the bun off, and avoid the "high carb" ingredients. The problem with low-carb lifestyle is the convenience factor....especially if you are so used to it (pre-LC). Nevertheless..I love it and won't change my WOE.

Last week we went out for chinese food and I had beef with broccoli and chicken chop suey. I requested no cornstarch, no msg and no sugar. The next day I got on the scale and was up 2 pounds. I upped my water and in a couple of days it was gone but it was scary. I don't know if it was the sodium, but I think it was.

Be careful with chinese food.

Peace
red

Its the Sodium - - I also order no starch sugar or MSG and the sodium alone kills me...and I know it...but I love Chinese cuisine. I try to drink more water to compensate and just hope for the best.
