Arrow I'm new here and need to lose 20lbs!!!!!!

Hello All!!!!

I'm from texas, just got married 4 months ago, and have gained 10lbs since the wedding. I've been cheatfree for 3 weeks. The only problem is I've lost only 4lbs. I figured it was the shakes, since I was in induction, so basically I started all over this week. (without the shakes)
I exercise 2-3x a week w/ my hubby.
But my thing is, I'll be 30 on the 30th of next month!!! I've got the shed these last 20lbs.
Anyone have any suggestions??????

Hi and welcome! No more than you have to lose 30 pounds by the 30th of next month may be too much to expect. I took turning 30 pretty hard too so I do understand but try to be happy that you are working hard to improve yourself and give yourself a little time. This is a wonderful diet and it will come off! Good luck!

Thank you so much for the response. I guess I'm just so caught up, in the fact that everyone around me had lost on this plan but me. My husband's friend's wife is on the plan, and she lost 37lbs in 7 weeks....She's a little older then myself and smaller, but it was weird, b/c she was like.....Corey(my husband) is your wife CHEATING? He was like no,,,....If I could lose 10lbs. I would be happy, but I just don't understand my progress... I am on week 4!
Again I thank you!

Everybody is different which if you read many of the posts here you will see. Try to not compare yourself with anyone else. I had a good initial weight loss but I have 80 pounds to lose so that makes a difference. Now I have slowed down to a pound or maybe two a week but that is okay. I would rather have the scale inching down instead of up! Other people can be such morons sometimes! Do let 'em get to you. I am constantly surprised at what people will say!

It will! And its great to have a goal like that, but you will definitely be slimmer and healthier by your 30th!

My 30th was just a few months ago, and I weighed about 160 then. Yikes! Since then, I have lost 19lbs and quit smoking!! So 31 will be a happier birthday

Hi 20 you really don't have much to lose and your progress will be slower. When you have more to lose you will lose a little faster especially in the beginning then it will level itself out. I would expect about a pound or two a week, but no more than that, sorry to say. Just keep up the good work and stick with it, anything that is fast and easy will be just as fast and easy gaining it back.

Let's see --5 weeks was June 16 and I was 146.

*BUT*

1- I lost 11 lbs in my first 2 weeks. (so I only lost 3 more in the next 3 weeks, and 5 more in the last 5 weeks)
2- I still wore size 12 pants. Inches hadn't caught up with lbs.
3- I can't say you will lose just like me...only that you *will* lose if you stick to it. And the more junk you cut out of your diet and replace with good stuff, the better you will feel.

Have you been taking measurements? That has been the best way for me to see my progress- not the scale.

Hang in there

Yes, I understand everyone is different, so that is my stole reasoning for NOT giving up! Plus my wonderful husband decided to join me for added support and motivation.
As far as my measurements, they normally come first, but they haven't this time. But 3.5 weeks isn't long enough to tell. I just need to wait it out....
I did notice, however,... that when I exercise more I'll lose a pound. So I my best bet is to kick it into high gear.

I really want to Thank everyone for your comments and support!
Sometimes that's all a person needs!!! Thanks again!
