Two weeks is nothing LOL Just hang in there and keep going. You are not officially stalled until its been SIX LONG PAINFUL weeks with no loss. Some go longer...then get a whoosh and then level out again.

Don't give up, after you lose initially, you can plateau and it can take quite a while before the scale moves again. However, check your measurements because you can still lose inches. It's true. I have stayed the same weight for the last 5 weeks, but I have lost inches. Keep the faith, watch your carbs, and it will work. Hang in there!!!!

Hey dont stress I thought I was stuck on 200lb even thought the scale was broken and bought a new one. Though that seemed to work lol but not bc of the new scale. Now I'm down 5.5 extra and can't believe that I'd be stuck at 200lbs for life

I don't know if this is true or not but once my doctor told me that your body can have a set point... a weight where you've been before for a while and your body has adapted to. That's where I am right now I think...

Heheheh, how nice for Dustin that he complains and gets gossiped about for being cute and then he starts a new thread saying the scale went down!

That set point thing is definitely true. I've been right around 140 since the New Year. Have to battle to shave down the last pounds, but it will happen. Weighed 136 this morning... it just takes time and persistance!

p.s. Working out doesn't hurt.

I am reading this great book (see post from yesterday) that states that if you were at one weight for a while your body will remember that and thus you will "stall out" at that weight for a short time. I was stuck at 167 for a long time because I was at that weight for a few years after the birth of my 2nd child. My next plateau will probably be at 148 lbs where I was for a while after the birth of my 1st child. So, this is normal. Sometimes cutting back on certain foods can help or adding exercise. Eventually, it will break.

I'm stuck in a stall right now..i'm at 150..but my inches have gone done..and my trainer told me that i lost 6% body fat...which amazed me..lol.
I'm going to crank up my working out and see what happens. I do an hour of walking 5days a week..and my legs seem to be trimming down a bit...all i need is a tan..lol

16 HOLY SMOKES LOL

Thank bob you are watching out for us LOL LOL

Not that I had any naughty intentions..... noooo ...

So I'm not wrong in knowing why I'm stuck in the 180's then!!! I believe my next plateau will be around 160 then because I know I was at that weight for a long time too.
